Barbara Peaker has been ringing handbells for over 10 years. She has worked to become a handbell soloist and provides music for almost any service or special event. Barbara has a repertoire of both sacred and non-sacred music that will fit almost any holiday or special event. Barbara enjoys playing for concerts, festivals, baptisms, church services, and at schools or retirement homes.
Barbara recently started a motivational ringing experience in which she shares about the work she does with students and seniors, how music changes lives, and how music changed her own life. She shares details of her difficult childhood and early adult years, combined with a minimum of five handbell solos, which will leave you feeling inspired and uplifted. This program can be adjusted to suit either mature or young audiences, and both religious or non-religious events. This unique experience is not to be missed. Approximately 1 hour in length but can be adjusted to fit your event.
Barbara is happy to provide music for your special event. Barbara will bring her own accompanist, and therefore a well-tuned piano is required at the event location or other arrangements must be made when booking. Samples of her repertoire include, but are not limited to, the following:

Barbara also enjoys arranging songs for solo handbells including a few of the above selections. Barbara can also learn songs by special request with minimum 3 month notice, including pieces to accompany other musicians or choirs at your event.
Prices vary by event type, length, and location, but start at $200 plus travel. Additional charges may apply for rehearsals with other musicians, choirs, etc. All prices subject to HST.
